Awaken GUILD STRUCTURE AND POLICIES Updated: 28/06/2010

I. OVERVIEW

Awaken is a casual end-game raiding guild. Our primary goal is to conquer all raid content in easy and hardmode and have a good time doing so!
Many Awaken members have full time jobs or families (or both!). Therefore, our raid schedule is not as “hardcore” as other guilds might be. We generally raid 3 nights a week. Our raid times start in the evening Server Time (20:00pm-00:00pm). We value our weekends. We will never hold scheduled raids on Friday or Saturday.

Currently our raiding days are 2-3 out of MON, WED, SUN, TUES depending on everyones schedule

If a raid is set to start at 20:00 be at the raid entrance at least 15min in advance. You must be attending a minimum of Two Raids a week!

II. MEMBER CONDUCT

Awaken is an adult guild comprised mostly of players in their mid to late twenties. We like adult humour, but there is no need for overly offensive statements or jokes in guild chat or on Ventrilo. All members of the guild are expected to uphold the guild reputation by not acting immature in game or on the realm forums. This includes spamming chat, flaming other guilds, behaving offensively, etc, etc. What actions constitute giving the guild a bad reputation is at the sole discretion of the guild leadership. Players who participate in such actions will be warned or removed from the guild.

III. RANKS

The following ranks exist within the guild:

Guild Council – Players of this rank are responsible for running the guild. This includes organizing raids, tracking EP, evaluating guild members, among many other things.

Officer + Officer Alt – Players of this rank are highly responsible members of the guild and help the Guild Council closely with their duties

Raider – Players of this rank are the raiding force of the guild. They have shown a strong desire to to progress through end game content, posses an above average skill level, are reliable, and have a great attitude. Raiders are expected to come prepared at all times with consumables, keys, proper resist gear, etc. Raiders may be asked to spec their character certain ways and perform certain raid roles depending on the needs of the guild. Raiders are expected to have all Required Raiding Mods installed and up to date. Raiders will need to post in the AFK forum if they will be absent for scheduled raid days.

Friend – A social rank for friends of the guild that are just here for the social aspect, could also be levelling with a view to raid but will still need to meet gear/gem/enchant expectations before raiding!

Trial – Players of this rank have recently been invited to the guild as a trial member. Based on their performance/attitude they may be promoted to a permanent member rank or removed from the guild.

IV. Loot Distribution

EPGP to be used in Scheduled raids only, Loot master and common sense to be used at all other times!

10-man Dungeons – Looting follows the simple rules of NEED – Mainspec Greed – Offspec Pass – happy for it to be DE’d
Ten man dungeons are easy to manage so EPGP isnt needed in this situation. Common sense must take priority though its not fair for one person to get all the loot!

25-man Dungeons
EPGP – dependant priority on items (see EPGP page for more info)

V. WEBSITE/FORUMS

All major communication/discussion is done via our Web site. Please visit it regularly.

VI. VENTRILO and Teamspeak

The guild has use of a 15 slot Ventrilo server and also a 35 slot Teamspeak server. All guild members are encouraged to log on and have fun with your fellow guild mates as much as possible.
Teamspeak is required for Raiders during a 25 man raid. Microphones are not required but strongly encouraged.

The ventrilo and Teamspeak serversare for guild members only. If you participate in PvP, 5-mans etc., with people outside the guild, see if there is another server that you can use. If that’s not possible, ask an officer before inviting others to our server. We’d like to minimize the number of people who have our password and access to our vent/Ts. Please don’t act like an idiot on Ventrilo. This includes screaming or making other loud, obnoxious noises. The Ventrilo admins will be happy to globally mute or ban you. Try not to talk over other people. Especially if you have a bad microphone. It hurts!!

VII. Addons and raiding

As an absolute minimum all members need EPGPLootmaster, Oman Threat Meter, Deadly bossmods, Decursive (if u can),
Do not come to a raid unprepared, make sure you have enough mana/healing  pots and enough flasks/elixr’s to raid all evening, make sure you are repaired and have gold to do a full night of repairs. Mages and others make sure you have reagents to buff the raid. Food feasts are always welcome if you can make them.
